Rosie Waters
Therapist with a focus on attachment.
Are you struggling with distressing feelings, feeling anxious, low or confused. We can all feel like this sometimes and talking to someone trained, away from family and friends can really help. I am an experienced counsellor with a nursing background, working online, using the Zoom platform. I also see clients in person in Newbury, Berkshire.
I have a special interest in working with attachment based issues.
I work with individual adults over the age of 18.

About me and my practice
I am a warm, gentle-natured, caring, friendly and approachable person.
I came to counselling from a 25 year nursing career, having recognised my desire to be able to provide greater emotional help to individuals.
I am a humanistic, relational counsellor, which means that I work in a client-centred way, with you, the client at the heart. We will work together, at your pace, to explore the issues that bring you to counselling, whether short or longer term.
I believe that everyone has, within them, the resources to heal and grow, but sometimes we can lose sight of them, for various reasons.
Humanistic counselling can help us to reconnect with this inner part of ourselves, to know and understand our self better and to work towards a happier, more contented life, with more confidence.
I have a further qualification and special interest in Attachment Based Therapy (also known as Attachment focused therapy).
Experience
I have been in private practice since 2014 and have experience of working with many clients from many backgrounds and with many different issues and concerns.
I welcome adult clients from all backgrounds and of all ages, over 18.
I have experience of working with people who are anxious, low, bereaved, overwhelmed, struggling with health issues, issues with self esteem and confidence to name a few.

At our first session we will talk and get a sense of each other to ensure we both feel we are a good fit and that I can help you with your particular concerns. There is no obligation to continue after this initial session if you do not feel we are a good fit.
There are some safety questions I will need to ask as some issues are not suitable for online counselling, if this is the case I would not be able to work with you and would suggest you seek alternative more appropriate help elsewhere.
